I'm currently shopping around for a HDTV. I've ruled out Plasma and I'm *this close* to ruling out LCD. My budget is $2200. I'm looking for a great DLP for XBox-360 gaming and TV/Movie watching. I'd like a DLP that isn't incredibly glitch-prone (bowing, light/bulb malfunctions, screen shadows, etc.). As far as size goes....I don't want to go any higher than 61 inches. Maybe 65 inches. No higher than that though.
I can't emphasize enough how much gaming I'm going to do on it. I've heard that DLP's dont have input lag like LCD's do. Input lag for a CoD4 gamer such as myself makes the game unplayable.
I'd especially prefer responses from those of you who play fast-action next-gen games (First person shooters, Rhythm games) on your DLP.
***PLEASE...NO CRT SUGGESTIONS. I DON'T WANT A CRT.***

I am in the exact same boat but deciding between the Samsung DLP LED 61A750 or the Panasonic Plasma 50pz85U......

Samsung DLP LED 61A750
That's one of the DLP's I'm eyeing.

I have seen it and it looks good for sure. I know alot of people love theirs....I just can't give much advice since I don't own any HD TV yet!

Samsung 6187s - it's cheaper then the 61A750, because it is last years model. The difference in price makes the 6187s a much better deal for a pretty similar set.

wow. those are almost my exact criteria. cept i need a 55" -57". i've ruled out plasma & LCD because of size/price, lag, and burn in. there'll be a lot of gaming, TV, movies, SD. i'm leaning towards the newest Samsungs, or Mitsubishi...BUT i keep hearing that the Sony KDS-55A3000 is the best RPTV out there. unfortunately i heard about them too late and can't seem to find one anywhere. 2 places locally have floor models. i just can't decide! :(

You'll probably need to go online to get one.

I just got a 5687 samsung led dlp and notice no lag issues compared to my dead panasonic pz77u. It seems to deal with side to side motion a little better in halo too!
It is nice not having the little bars from games not stuck on the screen lightly (noticeable in dark scenes) for 30 minutes after gaming for a while. No it didn't burn in but it was noticeable for around 30 minutes if i were to say watch a dark movie after gaming. No issues whatsoever now.
