any side by side comparison of the two projectors? I don't see why more people aren't talking about the dt510.

I've asked this question a few times myself. There are very few people with the DT-510 and absolutely zero reviews. I recently purchased the HC1500 mainly because I couldn't find any objective review on the DT-510.

Do a search on the 510 and you'll find a thread I started. In it, the one (and only) DT-510 owner I could find posts some nice looking screenshots. Unfortunately, that owner was having a dithering problem with his projector.

Just to keep you updated, my first DT-510 went back to the store last weekend. It had a fantastic picture but every once in a while the picture would flicker. I have my second DT-510 but have not had a chance to hook it up. Will be doing so soon with the opening of baseball season.

DT-510 will have deeper black and higher contrast.
HC1500 will be brighter.

In a controlled enviroment the DT-510 is a class above.
If in a living room and don't have much light control, the HC1500 can fight through the sun.

There are some reviews out there and some users here for the 510.
I owned the 1500 and the Marantz VP4001 I owned after it was similar to the 510 and it was definitely another level above in PQ. The DT0510 throws a quite good 720p picture.
