Hello everyone.

A friend of mine just purchased a 52" Sony Bravia KDL52WL135 display along with a Sony 301 Blu Ray player. I've hooked up the blu ray player and hd cable via hdmi inputs. Are there any suggesions for calibration settings for the blu ray input and the cable input? Your suggestions will be most helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Are friends the only ones that purchased these?:) Actually, I have a 4065F from Samsung, but earlier today I helped a friend update his HT system and with all the options he had he went with the 52" Sony Bravia KDL52WL135. Set up was easy but no one has much info on this set. I even called Sony and they were no help. Is this an XBR without the glass frame and updated audio speakers? I'm hoping to calibrate it next week when we hook up the new sound system.

without even attempting any type of calibration ... you should just pick custom/cinema mode with a color temp of warm 2. This is supposed to be the closest to accurate on the set.

You will still need some type of test disc patterns to set brightness and contrast correctly though.
