So are devs scared that a bad demo will crush their sales and rely on hype and trailers to drive the numbers? I can't think of the benefits of putting out a demo after the initial release other than to snag a few more sales...just doesn't make sense.

Well since they had to delay the release a bit I would assume they used all their time trying to get it out the door and really didn't think about a demo til after.

i rented the game from gamefly, and im glad i did that instead of buying it to find out the campaign is 6hrs long and the online is kinda weird for my taste.....but i also rented dark sector for ps3 and i would take army of two over dark sector anyday. Maybe if i had gotten it on the 360 i would of liked it more but the controls for the PS3 version are bad imo and the gameplay just seems to be blanned

An associate of mine loves this game. However he only played it co-op with his wife who he was suprised to find out wanted to try it and decided she loved it. They played it twice. He indicated he would loan it to me, which is good as none of you are convincing me to buy it the way you did LO and the way I have been more and more swayed to Vikings.

The full game is actually pretty fun once you get into it , it's at least a worthy rental IMO .

This is a total buddy game. You can play with the AI buddy but you will have more fun playing it with a friend. This was built from the ground up as a co-op game. You have to work together to get through the game. The multiplayer is only 2v2 but to me is still just as fun. There is DLC in the works with some campaign challenges and a new multiplayer map.

I went through the game 2 or 3 times...just bored and hunting for achievements. It's got it's good points, but's it's a rental. Campaign is just too short. Seem to be saying that a lot this year

It's crap and barely worth a rental. Play the demo, rinse and repeat. YMMV.

Any way to play this by yourself just using the AI team mate? I don't have a 2nd controller and im kinda lazy to make an EA account rofl. Or am I SOL?

has single player withj AI like any game.

The demo only seems to have 2 player splitscreen or online. I don't think you can play single player with an AI team mate.

Not quite...

The problem was that this game didn't meet its sales goals over at EA. Note that there's been tons of press and marketing pumped into this game for the past 2 years - so it was expected to do VERY well - yet the reviews and sales were entirely lackluster. This demo is a last-chance shot for EA to inject a little excitement into this game, before they have to write it off as a major loss.

Liked the demo, played it with a friend, it's laugh out loud hilarious in spots.

Fun co-op experience, but I can see how it'd be on the lame side by yourself.

It's clearly meant to be played via co-op.

Played the game co-op and liked it.

Playing Vegas 2 after it made Vegas 2 feel like an old title.

My main complaint with this game was that the aiming and weapons did not have a tight feel to them.

I thought the animations where you press the A button next to your teammate were funny in a lame sort of way.

Yes, they were hilarious! We spent a few minutes just going through the animations. I've got some gift cards laying around and plan on picking it up.

If you are talking about the demo...Yes you are SOL. Only the full game lets you play single player campaign with the AI teammate.

Just tried it out. Seemed like a clunky version of Gears - seemed a bit rough around the edges and the sticks definitely needed some tweaking. The back to back stuff seemed pretty gimmicky, though I thought the aggro was a cool idea. All in all, the demo was not bad, but not great either. Apparently the campaign is rather short, so I may pick it up as a rental or if/when it hits the bargain bin.

Downloded demo, played, then deleted. I didn't really care for it. This is good for some people really into coops. I've been ruined by Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 and Call of Duty 4.
