:confused:Do you only get the true native resolution of an HD projector with a computer by setting the computer at the appropriate resolution and watching HD content in 720 or 1080? If so, what are the appropriate resolutions? Is this what DScaler is all about? How does this work when you are watching computer videos (DIVX, .264, et al)? Still trying to understand how this works so I can make the best choice on upgrading from my current 480 Sharp DT-100 projector. Also, I'm planning to upgrade to Vista so I'm not sure if DScaler can be used with it? Thanks for any help.

Most modern computers come with a DVI output, I recommend you use a DVI to HDMI connector to the projector instead of VGA. VGA is analog and I quit using it several years ago. A DVI to HDMI cable can be had from monoprice for very cheap. Also, if you are using a HDMI switcher or a receiver to switch HDMI intputs, you can use one for your computer and then run just one HDMI cable to your projector (from your HDMI switcher or HDMI A/V receiver).

I did this with my imac and my previous TV as well as my new projector (Panny AX200). Both work like a charm. The computer should automatically recognize the TV as a display (at least on my Mac it does). It will give recommended resolutions - I recommend you choose the native display resolution since no scaling will occur on the display.

Set your computer's resolution to 1920x1080 for 1080, 1280x720 for 720.
