Hello. I am now possessed with the fun idea of adding up to 4 BKs to my 4 reclining home theater seats. I've searched their website and their user manuals, but I couldn't deduce if my particular setup will work with BK's BKA1000-4A amp and associated LFEs (Wireless or Wired okay, if either will work).
I'm using a stereo sub setup, connecting R and L subs to the respective line level main L/R AVR Preouts. Main L and R satellite speakers are connected to AVR's L/R speaker level outputs. AVR settings are: L/R speakers Large, Center and 2 surrounds Small, Subwoofer "No", crossover at 80 Hz. The subwoofer line out is not used.
I've looked at BK's Speaker Level Interface Adaptors, but don't understand if I could successfully use them. Is there anyone who knows whether I can properly connect the Buttkicker's amp to my system? Thanks.

Looks like the easiest thing to do if I'm understanding correctly would be to split each L/R pre-out with a Y-adapter, sending one leg of each to the respective sub and summing the other two back to mono for the BK amp (which has its own crossover like the subs). If you're already using a line-level sub feed, no reason to bother with the speaker-level adapters.
Can the AVR send bass/LFE to both the mains and sub-out? That's another option.

Thank you, Jack for replying. I don't know the answer to your last question. I do know that I can set my AVR to Large front L/R and my Sub to "yes", I just don't understand bass management enough to know what sonically will happen with the bass shaker getting the sub out signal and my 2 subs and 2 mains getting the full range signals. I am incredibly happy with stereo subs vs. dual mono subs, so this exercise is very worthwhile to me.
Regardless, your first recommendation sounds brilliant, maybe just enough for me to pull the trigger on the purchase.
Still, I am interested enough in audio theory that I would still love to know what you think happens with bass management with speakers Large and subwoofer Yes.
Thanks

It's tough to say, there seem to be no hard 'n fast bass-management rules and every manufacturer kinda does its own thing. It's possible with the sub set to "YES" that only the sub-out jack will ever get the .1/LFE channel, even with fronts set to large. It may well be that the only way to have all bass (.1/LFE as well as 5-channel bass) sent to the mains/subs in addition to the Buttkickers is by leaving the settings as they are and splitting the signal as decribed above. In other words, having LFE sent to the fronts and sub-out may not be possible.

What AVR is this? Anything in the manual about what bass goes where?

Regardless, your first recommendation sounds brilliant...
Well, it had to happen at some point. And it only took me 5,440 posts...

LOL! I doubt one can post thousands of times without getting some props.
I have what some people would call, a "vintage" AVR, once a flagship Pioneer VSX-07TX. Still works great, but I've scoured the user manual many times and the description of bass management is greatly lacking. Whatever I learned, especially when deciding to go with a stereo sub hookup, I've learned through AVS forum.
