My samsung 42" projection screen lost all color but red at exacly 9:02 saturday night (2 minutes after earth day finished)
When I turn it on with no sources connected, goes blue (as expected) immediately followed by a dark screen with the writing in red.
tried several different inputs and sources, same result.

Is it dead?

I assume it's DLP? Maybe dead color wheel? Do you have an extended warranty? If so, time for a service call. If not, the repair cost might be more expensive than the set is worth.
