Is there any issues still reamaining with FIOS and the wireless adapter? I just got FIOS and am considering getting the adapter for it. I use the Actiontec router that Verizon supplied and saw many posts about the problems with it. I asked a FIOS engineer and they stated that the new firmware that is in the routers now works fine.

If there is any way to get a wire to the 360 do that instead. If not, the latest firmware should work with xbox live. here's a guide found on google.

You get a much more stable connection on wired.

Yes. I have to unplug my router once a week or so to reboot it, or else the 360 can't connect to Live. Wired connection, don't have a problem with PSN over wireless or browsing. Just 360...

FiOS = great service, terrible hardware.

I have Verizon Fios and don't think I've ever had a problem with my wireless adapter. We have 3 xboxes in the house using wireless, plus three computers, PS3, PSP, etc.. No problems. Fios is awesome

May as well leave security disabled if you're going to use WEP. WPA is the bare minimum for wireless security. Do a little google and you'll find instructions about how to crack any WEP secured connection in less than 1 minute.

FiOS connection here and everything (PS3, 360, Slingbox, DirecTV HR20) works flawlessly. One note: you don't HAVE to use the router provided by Verizon. I use a Linksys WRT54GS that I purchased myself. Even the tech that installed the FiOS said that I should use the Linksys since it was a much better router than they provide.

Another note: If you use your own router and have FIOS TV you will lose VOD and PPV unless you bridge the Verizon router.

Get yourself a better router.
