Hi im very new and not very familiar with LCD tv's after doing a little research i decided to buy the SHARP AQUOS® LC-37D62U from costco. i Wanted to know what the best calibration settings were for this tv in a dim lit room.. i looked through other threads with similar posts but was unable to find anything usefull..

The only way to figure this out is to use a pluge pattern and your brightness control.

Do you have a PC hookedup to the TV?

If not you need a DVD with some test patterns, there are a ton of them floating around, some are much better than others. Commercial ones usually have alot information on the background, specifics of what you're doing. Alot of the free ones are just patterns.
