While calibrating a PRO-150FD today, I noticed that changing the Gamma settings made no significant difference in the average gamma measurement. (I'm using a Sencore OTC1000) In fact, the Gamma was averaging 1.2 in all three settings. Digging through the menus yielded nothing that allowed me to affect the Gamma setting in any fashion to come close to 2.2 Am I missing something here?? (I've only been calibrating since Jan.)

In the same system, I'm also running the signal through a DVDO iSCAN VP50 before it hits the display. The default gamma output for the VP50 is linear (1.0) There are adjustments for R, G, B gamma independent of each other. Could I use these settings to get closer to an overall 2.2? Is Gamma the average of a display's luminance response at a given light output level? If so, how would changing this value at the R, G, or B level affect the overall gamma average. Thanks for you help (and my education)!

I highly recommend reading either our "how-to" (posted here) (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=618182&highlight=guide), or downloading our demo app and going through our background topics in our extended help (even greater depth than the how-to). We cover this area pretty thoroughly at varying levels of depth based upon which user profile you decide best matches your skills/interests/knowledge level.
