DirecTV will NOT air tonight's Indians game or tomorrow afternoon's Indians game on STO HD. Bandwidth constraints is the reason, because of the many NBA, NHL and MLB HD games. They should have room for the April 4th STO HD Indians game. DirecTV customers can voice their displeasures at DIRECTV - E-mail Us.

I am pretty pissed about this as well. I just wrote D* a nice little email telling them that there is going to be some pissed off Indians fans if they do not fix this problem. They were willing to cut SD and HD channels for the NFL package and I think they need to do the same for our MLB package as well. Let's see what happens.

Over at DBStalk, satelliteracer (D* Employee) said tonight that there are technical issues with encoders and STO Hd is planned for April 11th.

There is possible word of STO HD lighting up on 4/4 for HD coverage. Satelliteracer is trying to confirm, but the 4/4 date came from STO

If they would have kept it on the spotbeam as last year at least those in the Cleve market would be able to see it in HD. They are putting STO up on the national bird and thus until D11 is hot they will have these issues. IMO they should at least give the NE Ohio market the feed on Spotbeam of all STO HD games until D11 is smoking.

In the press release that FSN Detroit sent me back in October, all HD RSNs were removed from the spot beams when D* rolled out the -1 HD RSNs

Received this quote from another forum. Looks like Indians games will start getting full HD coverage on April 11th.

"STO games will start in HD on Directv on April 11th, not April 1st or 2nd, or anytime before that. April 11th is the first game scheduled in HD for STO."

This is a bit frustrating because people can see the Royals in HD over the Indians. Doesn't make a lot of sense. If D* puts STO-HD online for good by April 11th, that will work for me. I hate to not see this many games but I am thrilled that we will get to choose our feed this season. The stike zone HD channel is way cool too!
