In the new Panasonic px80u models there is an item "WB Method Select" in the WB-ADJ menu.

I have the service manual and there is no mention of this adjustable item. It has a selection range of 0 to 3 with the default set at 3.

Anyone have any idea what this is? Is one for use with pattern gererator? Is one some type of auto adjust? Just curious -- wondering what and why.

Bump. Just to keep this question alive.

"White Balance", maybe? Just a WAG...

Of course it has to do with adjusting white balance. I am wondering what the selections do within the wb-adj menu. Why is the item there? It has not been in any of the SM menus of the past three generations. A normal calibration can be performed leaving the 'select' on the default setting but what are the 'selections' available? The service manual says nothing about the item.
