Is it advisable to couple 2 cables together (say a 25' and a 6') with a female/female adapter? What there be possible and/or significant signal degradation?:confused:

I need about 30' for my application, and it seems like 6,12,25 and 50 are the most common lengths. So I figured coupling a 6' and 25' would be perfect...What do you think?

I did it for years and never noticed any difference. Just make sure you use gold-plated connectors so you don't face any oxidation issues, and it shouldn't really be a problem.

I also condidered making my own custom length by visiting home depot and radio shack. To those that have done this, how were your results. Is it easier to simply buy one or two off the bay and couple them together?

BTW, is it safe to couple my current digital coax cable to a "subwoofer" cable
