Okay, here's the situation. My buddy's roommate is looking to get rid of a Sony STR-DE197 receiver for cheap.($30) It is a stereo receiver with 100w/ch, but no subwoofer pre-out. Now, my HT receiver is an Onkyo TX-SR304, which obviously has a sub pre-out. Is it possible to split the signal to the Sony receiver so I can set up some Aura Pro shakers?
Thanks.

If you have left and right pre-amp outs on your main reciever, you can connect your sub's line level inputs to your original reciever. The signal should match your mains perfectly.
Left and right speaker level inputs may work too if your sub accepts the speaker level signals.
Or, you may "Y" out of your source player into the Sony and main reciever. Connect your sub to the LFE on the Sony and keep your mains connected to your main reciever. You'll have separate volume controls for the sub off the Sony, and mains playing off your original reciever.
You'll lose a little volume with a "Y" connection from the player source, but it may work well after a good set-up session.
