have a mac mini that I may or may not sell, getting a ps3 soon either way.
I will be putting either ydl or ubuntu on the 10 gig partition of the ps3 and keep an existing imac running linux and osx that will be the media server for the ps3, my plans are for the following:
browse the internet on the ps3 via linux, not their browser, will be using a logitech media board pro which is bluetooth and a nice keyboard/mouse.
view photos, movies, music that I have on an external hard drive connected to my imac.
Will the ps3 be sufficient ?
Also I must add that My imac dual boots in ubuntu and mac osx however very soon I see myself fully moving to linux only but until then would like to have it networked to the ps3 in both linux and osx or would this complicate things?.
Is there a need them for this mac mini, any benefits over the ps3.
of course the ps3 has the gaming and blu ray but how is it as a media center and a linux machine?
