I paid a bit extra to get a package that included the regional Fox Sports Network channels so I could watch my Reds this year. When I first looked a couple months ago and there was absolutely no programming on these channels, I shrugged it off as they must only show games, and I'm not worried because I hate basketball.

Flash forward to today. The first televised Reds game of the season is on FSN Arizona. I set my ViP722 to record it. When I get home, no game. When I search for games (by pushing the LEFT button while not in any menus), a whole bunch of them come up. For example, the Reds game tomorrow at 6:00 on FSN Cincinnati. When I go to the guide, the game doesn't show up at that time. Blacked out, I guess? Same with every other Reds game for as long as I have programming downloaded. Probably 10 games.

Here is my confusion. I'm paying extra money for channels that show nothing but sports, but all of the sports are blacked out? What the hell am I actually paying for, what should I be seeing?

Where do you live?

Out of market RSN MLB games are not available on Dish. It doesn't carry the MLB Extra Innings package.

I have Dish as well and I live in WV...for one, the Reds game wasnt scheduled to be on TV today...I looked. Im in the "blackout" area, but I still get all the games, although, they only play 2 or 3 a week on FSN Cincy, and maybe 1 a week is in HD. Just become a Tribe fan, I believe over 140 games are on STO and all in HD....home and away games! They are schduled to be on tomorrow....i've never had a problem seeing them and I wouldnt pay extra for the "sports package" its not worth it at all....cancel it!
