Victor Godinez has written a "basics" guide to getting the most out of your new HDTV, and even mentions AVS Forum as a resource.
His advice is to:
1) Start with an HD source, by either antenna, cable, or satellite.
2) Use component or HDMI cables - and don't overpay at the stores, using sites like Monoprice(!)
3) Using AVS Forum, Cnet, or DVE discs to calibrate.
Overall I thought it was a great article and I plan on sending Victor an email.:)
If you'd like to send him one too, it's vgodinez @ dallasnews. com
