The UB stands for Ultra Black. The UB model is a different projector with a higher contrast ratio.

Could you tell me whose sell Epson for same price as Sanyo Z2000? I just did a side by side camparsion of my Z2000 against epson powerlite home cinema 1080p. The Epson Won in brightness, lens shift, exterior look and feel. The bad thing about epson powerlite home cinema 1080p is Lack of input only One HDMI, One component, nosiy, 2 year warranty, picture is just a little below Z2000. Sanyo Z2000 cost only $1600 with rebate, 3 year warranty, bright color(not lumen), ton of input 2 HDMI 2 component, easy remote, automatic lens close when turn off :) help keep dirt away, so far only Sanyo dose this in market. But, if Epson Offer extend warrant for $100 to 3 year to 5 year than I would definetly get epson powerlite home cinema 1080p instead of Z2000 .
