Would downloads becoming mainstream and replacing DVD and Blu ray mean that importing would essentially be dead? Terrible considering I rely on imports for a bunch of films that haven't been released Region 1 on DVD. :mad:

Wouldn't it be much easier to download from any part of the world than to try to find imports in your shop???

I actually think it would make imports more essential. It's much easier to restrict a person's access to material when it's all electronic than on physical media. I have Xbox Live here in Canada but I can only get Paramount, Warner and Lions Gate movies. And no more than 100 movies are on the service at one time (they seem to rotate them out).

My only recourse is to fake a US account or import. Luckily there are still discs around for that.
