I perform a full calibration using an EyeOne and 709 test patterns from w6rz.net, played in MPC.

However, these patterns don't trigger using the CoreAVC codec which is what I typically use to watch all the h264 content I have. It instead usually triggers the WM codec of some sort.

Are there any test patterns for the 709 colourspace (including a full greyscale 0-100 IRE set of test patterns) that would trigger the CoreAVC codec in MPC when played so I can perform a true calibration for my h264 files?

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Maybe you could re-encode the MPEG2 files to H264?

How do I do that?

The same way I did for my Tivo, using MPEGStream Clip http://www.squared5.com/

It allows conversion of .ts to many different formats and it's free :)

Try this pattern, it was done with MPEG StreamClip, 10%IRE and 100%IRE Windowed and mpeg4
