Greetings all,
Hello, I am Bruce, and new to this forum. I have a Hitachi 57F59, which recently displays a very noticable red color shift in dark/black areas only. In brightly lit scenes, I can see no color shifting at all.
Initially, I setup the video display using the Avia Home Theater disk, and I have been very satisified ever since. I've tried the Video 'Reset', but no joy. I've also unplugged the set, to let it cool down, and re-seated the HDMI connectors on both ends, (suggestions I read else where online), but no improvement.
Has anyone else experieced and fixed a similar problem?
Is this something correctable via service menus, or is it a sign of some component going bad? If correctable, is it something one should attempt (after obtaining the Service Manual, etc), or is it something better left to a professional? Obviously, I'd like to avoid an expensive service call, but I find the picture un-watchable as it is now.
Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Bruce
