I'm sure that this has been discussed before, but I did a seach and couldn't find anything,
I have a line of sight problem with my Onkyo reciever.
I'm looking for a simple inexpensive infrared reciever or extender that I can set on top my A/V shelving and plug directly into the minijack ir port on the back of my Onkyo.
Unfortunately, finding these seems difficult as everything I can locate seems to be of the more complex multi-room system variety.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I have Buffalo IR hardware that I no longer use and would like to sell. I used the little IR flasher that mounts in front of the IR port on the receiver, but I believe you could just use a male 1/8" to male 1/8" audio type cord to connect my connecting block to the IR port on your receiver, someone who knows more about that will have to chime in.

What I have is:
IR-100 connecting block (the "brain")
IR-350 IR repeater (what you mount in view and aim your remote at. It looks just like the peep hole on a door)
IR-E1 IR flasher (you don't need this for your receiver, but since it's only a $4 item, it makes sense to take it for control of another component. The connecting block could control up to 4 components)
DV9-500 power supply

If you are interested, let me know.

The flasher is $8.50 at Partexpress.com. Where can it be had for $4?

I bought mine at Automatedoutlet.com

I just checked, the price is up to $6.00. Sorry, I should have checked before opening my mouth.

Still, $6 isn't too bad.

Do you still have the buffalo gear for sale?

How did the buffalo equipment work? I see it is much less expensive than niles gear. Do you think I can mount the IR-350 in the ceiling?
