Starting today, TBS will be carrying a SUN afternoon game in HD. I'm not at home so I am wondering if it is in HD? If it is then I will be rushing home to see it.
Thanks,

Fantastic, I'm getting the wife out of the store and heading home to see it. I was impressed with the quality of last years' TBS post season and if they keep that up I might have to hire one of the neighborhood kids to mow the lawn while I watch the game.

Viewing Comcast in Detroit, video fine, audio has weird DD mix, with announcers in all 5 channels.

i'm glad TBS is doing a weekly national HD game this year. fox and espn aren't enough for this fan.

Holy smokes! This really puts the Saturday FOX game to shame. When I tune into HD, this is what I expect.

Is anyone else getting the weird audio mix?

Yeah, it's weird. I'm getting the announcers in the LCR and also in the rears of a 7.1 setup but not in the LR and RR. The guy is talking to my back...

It is beautiful looking. I sure would like a smaller score bar. It seems very large and I don't like it in the center.

The scorebar at the top? That's pretty much the standard size most RSNs use.

It does look nice, the colors are almost borderline over saturated, not too much but just right.

It's not just baseball that has this weird sound. It happens on all of their shows. Voices on all 5 channels. Not at all what 5.1 is supposed to be. Well, its better than the MTS Mono that my cable systems airs TBS SD in.

Same on Comcast in ATL. Good to see the quality is as good as the playoffs. Buck is pretty good too, can't say the same for Chip.

Just heard the Frank Thomas Grand Slam and the announcers dropped out but the crowd stayed wonder what's going on there.

and on a fastball the mph counter fires up. pretty neat.

I think the saturation is what keeps distracting me. I almost wish it was a little transparent.

Sorry, I was talking about the image of the game itself, not the color of the scorebar. :)

Agree, in the last week or so when they "figured out" HD, the audio went to hell.

But I'll give credit where credit is do...I have not seen better HD baseball PQ than TBS. Watching on E*.

Even listening in stereo, it is messed up. Sounds like the old "synthesized stereo" and way out of phase. Hard to listen to that. Summing to mono reveals all kinds of phase cancellations ...

The audio was very bass-heavy as well as having excessive dynamic range compression. My subwoofer got a workout during the opening music.

I agree.

I got no sound out of my center speaker the first inning or so, just L & R speakers. The picture was very nice, I just wish the Sox played better.

I noticed this last week, and it's back again in week 2. Very heavy on the LFE, and it sounds like they have a mic exposed to the wind someplace. Even the commercials have too much bass.

At least it seems like they have the commentators properly in the Center channel this week.

Stadium noise overpowers the announcers. Very tough to hear the announcers via the center channel. Watching via directv.

The sound of these TBS games is embarrassing.Even over analog in 2ch stereo it sounds bad.I can't believe this goes on each week.

The colors were saturated to the extreme on yesterday's Cubs-Phillies game. It didn't look too bad, but it definitely didn't look natural at all.
