I am trying to configure an MX-980 to use with a brand new Tivo HD, not the first generation Series 3, for a customer.

It does not seem like the standard pre-programmed Tivo's work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If preprogrammed codes don't work, I wouldn't waste any more time with them, just learn the commands from the Tivo remote.
