I just recently purchased the MX810, but I am a little concerned/dissapointed so far.
First, does the remote have a slight "rattle" when you shake it? Sounds like there is something loose in the infared area.

Secondly, the directional buttons, do not seem very responsive. I press them rapidly and it seems like it does not register every click. I can see the little red light on the upper right hand screen turn on, but it only registers some of the clicks.

Lastly, The infared emitter also does not seem exceptionaly strong either. It looks like I may need to get RF.

Also I can't get it to recognize my "DSP" button on my Yamaha HTR 5280 receiver.

Does everyone else experience similar issues?

Most of the URC remotes have a motion sensor, to tell it to turn on the backlighting or LCD. that is probably your rattle

No they are not the most responsive remotes in the world, but it shouldnt be that bad.

RF will usually be more reliable than IR, and non directional to boot !

Is the DSP button the only one that your having trouble with ?
try URC's tips for better IR learning.

Never heard of anyone having a weak signal from the 810, is your equipment hard to see or something? Maybe the remotes broke.

The equipment is not really hard to see, it just seems like the remote does not send out the signal every time I press the button. The DSP button is the only button that I am having trouble learning at the moment.
Would you describe the 810 as a substantial remote?
It just feels a little more plasticky(is that a word?) than what I was expecting.
