Anyone know how to clean the MX650 buttons??

I've had this rc for about 2 years of heavy use. Some of the buttons do not respond as they did when the rc was new ... they need to be held down for 3-8 seconds before the signal is sent. Sometimes they need to be held down and I have to rock my thumb back & forth before it works. I'm assuming the problem is bad contact due to oils from the skin.

I tried very gingerly to open the case but I was afraid of forcing it and breaking something, so I didn't. I talked to store where I bought it & they said they would have to send it back to URC for repair.

There's gotta be a better (cheaper) way?? Thanks.

The buttons aren't working because the button rubber membrane has lost conductivity, and not because its dirty. My mx650 keys stop working after 3 months, had URC replace it, then I sold it.
