I have a gadget that looks like a remote called a "RCA VCR programmer". Basically you point it at your cable box, and it automatically changes the channel at the correct time, so your VCR can record the cable box.

I can't get it to work with my Zenith Coupon-eligible Converter box.

Any ideas on a fix?

Does the remote have IR codes for an LG digital satellite box? I use the LG digital satellite codes to control my Zenith CECB.

I use three digit numbers to get the subchannel, i.e.

041 is 4.1
042 is 4.2
501 is 50.1 and so forth.
