I don't know If I should switch.. Which has better quality (HD and SD-wise), and better service. I switched to digital cable 3 years ago (after having dish network for 10 years). Does DirecTV lose signal like Dish Network in storms? And which is cheaper? Thanks!

When I had Comcast analog here, I'd have to say that it probably went out as much as, or maybe even more than Dish during hard rainstorms, which I have now. At first, Dish was going out practically everytime it rained, but since I had them remove the multiswitch from being strapped to the Dish arm and exposed to the elements, and had one of those LNB's where the switch is built-in and encased and waterproof put in, it takes a lot now for it to go out.

I don't know if Direct has those LNB's, too, but if you make sure the switch isn't exposed to direct weather like that, it should help a lot. (You didn't say if or how often your cable ever goes out, so I could't estimate a comparison in your situation.)

HD-wise, most of Direct's newer mpeg4 HD channels will look better, but their older mpeg2 ones still look like cr*p, so it depends on how bad they are now with your TW ones. But they will supposedly be moving those to mpeg4 eventually, sometime after they get new birds up.
