What do people think of this remote? I will be using this on the following items:

Onkyo 805
Panny BD30
Tosh A35
Sony SXRD XBR2 60"

Will this remote allow me to pretty much control all of these components without ever having to pull out the old individual remotes?

If not this remote, any other suggestions? I like the big, touch screen LCD remotes. :p

Any of the Harmony remotes will control those items. All of the Harmony remotes use the same software and share the same database.

I do not have this remote, I have the 670. But I have not had to use my original remotes in over a year.

I have the 1000 and the One and for the money the One is a much better product. Lots of little glitches with the 1000 that I have come across that I havent seen in the One. The interface is a little laggy when switching between screens, devices, etc.

Also, you have to consider the form factor. You can't operate the 1000 without looking at the screen for other than channel and volume +/-. I gave my wife the option to use the 1000 or the One for the bedroom and she didnt want anything to do with the 1000. As a matter of fact, she prefers the One over my URC MX-950.

I'm in the same boat and well i just ordered the one, for the money and based upon reviews, the one just seemed like a better deal....The one is nice and all but i feel if you dont need it, why get it, when the one will suit you just fine....but thats just my opinion

I never tested the 1000 and i never tested the One, but i tried the 880,890 and 670 and i liked them and all but the reason i went One was because it seems to be the most advanced out of all of them .... So seriously look into the One and see what you like.

What do you guys think of this remote compared to the Harmony 1000? Obviously, it costs more, but is it that much better?

Are you looking for a tablet style remote?

This remote can be pretty expensive but you can find them used for decent prices. There is a slight learning curve with the programming software. Not something that I would recommend if you arent willing to put in the time, it's really that tricky. There are tons of features I dont even use that I wish I could figure out. The MX-3000 is designed for the custom installer to program for their clients.
