A new antenna is coming out by winegard the model HD-1080. this is a two bay bow tie with two highband VHF elements mounted in the center of the bow ties. This should be good in many markets including Chicago and here in Fort Wayne as well. And yes the other antennas are the HD 7694-Hd7695-Hd7696-Hd7697- and the HD7698 all are 75ohm connections and Highband VHF and UHF no low band Thank you Winegard. I have not tested any as of today but will post when they arrive.

Got it, thanks. WOW! That's an expensive little antenna!
It is on the solidsignal website and a little less pricey there: http://www.solidsignal.com/prod_display.asp?PROD=HD-1080. Since it is yet not on the Winegard main website, I don't see gain specs for it. Will be interesting to read reports on how well it works for upper VHF. Will the long upper VHF elements hurt performance for UHF? I would assume that Winegard is planning on a 4 bay bowtie version.

Has anyone returned any antenna to solidsignal got another one instead? I would like to try this, because after Feb 17 2009, my local ABC and PBS are moving to Hi-VHF from the current UHF. If it doesn't work for me, I would like to return this and get CM4228 instead. Right now I am using an indoor Terk HDTVa for both VHF and UHF. But I am doubtful, whether it will be able to receive Hi-VHF at 33 miles with it's rabbit ear dipole. It can recieve UHF at 33 miles though from the same station though. But the analog broadcast at VHF are pretty bad and not watchable at all.

It looks like pricing is retail. I have not received my dealer price list on the seven new antennas . I will make contacts with my suppliers on Friday. The mark up looks scary.
