I found a pretty nice deal on a Panasonic plasma at amazon, and I am considering mating it with the Panasonic SC-PT960. I really like the design and the features, especially the iPod dock, but it is SORELY lacking an HDMI passthrough (as are most HTIB systems I have seen, only the Samsung seems to solve this, even the Sony leaves it off, but if anyone knows of a good one, please let me know).

Anyway, I was going to get an HDMI/Digital Optical switcher. I figured I would run my games and dish through the switcher, then run the switcher's HDMI out directly to the TV and the optical into the PT960.

Can anyone see any potential issues here? Am I just being paranoid?
