Would it be possible to have a sticky thread for discussion of CECB's (Coupon eligible converter boxes)?
I realize this is a pretty low level topic to be discussing, but I can't help but think that there are people who will come to the site looking for information about those boxes. I went to the dtv2009 site and the list of boxes was quite large (>50). There doesn't seem to be much discussion in this forum along those lines that I could see.
My situation is probably not *too* uncommon. I have an HDTivo with Charter cable for my living room Sony Lcos TV. The bedroom has no cable wiring, but I do have an old 27" analog tube there with a DVD player attached. It just so happens that the window behind the TV faces right at all those wonderful broadcast towers up on Mt. Wilson spewing forth ATSC signals. I signed up for and received one of the CECB coupons, and saw that Best Buy had one of the boxes listed for sale for $59. So, for $20 out of pocket I can pick up a box that will allow for ATSC viewing on my old TV.
The sticky thread requested would allow for a comparison of the pro's and con's of the various elegible boxes so as to get the best one possible for my or anyone elses needs.
