How slow are we talking about?

I'm debating between the Popcorn Hour and the TVIX 6500A right now. I've read a lot of people stating how the menus were very slow (due to them being web pages). I know this would be something that would annoy me... so I'm starting to think the TVIX may be the better Media Server for me.

Anyone have any input? If I'm trying to sort through MP3 Artists and I have say 300 artists, how long would it take me to reach the end of the list?

Oh... and I've also been reading that the Popcorn Hour can't turn off via remote control (Harmony). So to actually turn it off you need to un-plug it from the rear. Is this true? Is there a firmware update that can fix that?

I have a large music collection as well. Currently I find it unacceptable scrolling through more than a couple of pages to navigate. Therefore I am still using XBMC for music playback. I read somewhere that they are working on integrating a web server so you can control playback from a pc (ala XBMC). If that solution works well, I will then be retiring my XBMC setup.

You can put the unit in standby from the included remote. I don't have a Harmony.

Thanks for the input.

So I'm assuming that if I have 100 movies and I want to find one towards the bottom it's going to take a while? Everytime you press the down button it reloads the page like a web page?

it will display 14items per page you can page up and down between an site the reload needs around 1-3sec but you can also pageup on first page and will go with that to the last page.
For me 100 movies are no problem the problem right now begins when you have many in one folder, i tested it with an photo folder where 1300 photos where in then the page jump takes longer and thats bad but i know there will be an improvement on this things :).
I have also some other Mediaplayers at home and they are faster on navigation but i never used it again :) because i´m sitting not down and browse 2hours around i wanna start an movie and watch an movie and thats it :)
