Hi guys, relatively new to the forums, I must say this forum has to be one of the most informative sites on the net in general, and especially in the area of audio/video....nice work to everyone here.
I've been trying to set up my audio/visual system and have gotten most of the kinks worked out....I wanted to replace my aging XBOX with XBMC with the MG350HD since I knew I could get 1080p out of it and it was also a faster processing unit then the xbox....luckily I did not pay for the MG350HD, it was given to me as a media review unit (I operate a tech podcast with a friend of mine; for the record, I reviewed it and gave a premature positive review without alot of testing) and I am sad to report I would be pretty pissed if I did pay for it. For the record, maybe it was my setup, but xvid playback was very slow to start up under "wired" conditions, and following a completed playback of an xvid, the 350 froze...maybe it was Vista 64 bit....who knows....anyway, scrapped that idea....then it was on to the PS3....worked good at streaming xvids for sure, nice GUI, but the controls are lacking compared to old XBMC.
Lastly, I have plugged back in the XBOX, and am using XBMC again....sure it won't playback any HD, but I came to realize that I mainly only stream xvids anyway, so I am happy with it for now....don't even get me started about the XBOX 360....
Sorry for the novel, I just hope something in here may help someone in a decision or something, thanks for reading:)
