Has anyone converted the IR codes published by Denon on their site to Pronto codes? I'm trying to learn how to do that so that I can program my 9600 & 1000.

I just converted over my 5308CI and 4308CI codes for my Pronto 7500 Color. Rob100 04-23-08, 04:29 PM That program only supports the Sharp codes. For the Kaseikyo codes you can use this (http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=pronto&db=other&br=utilities&dv=irprograms&md=denonkaseikyoprontohexgenerator&kw=&st=&ar=&dt=&so=&pg=1&file=utilities/denonkhexgen.zip) program. gimp 04-24-08, 03:00 PM That program only supports the Sharp codes. Now I have it. 3 subs, that's just gready :D Rob100 05-13-08, 08:36 PM For anyone that's interested I've just submitted an updated version of my program to Remote Central. Will probably be up in the next 24-48 hours. New in version 2: Support for Sharp codes added Program re-named (dropping Kaseikyo from the name) Improved batch mode (integrated into GUI) HDTVJunky 05-14-08, 12:32 AM Thanks for taking the time Rob100. I've converted all the Yamaha (NEC) extended codes using their tool but didn't know what to do about Denon. This helps for Nevo also, since they use Philips hex. gimp 05-14-08, 02:31 PM For anyone that's interested I've just submitted an updated version of my program to Remote Central. I wrote the program ;) I sent you the following PM, but I'll post it as well, since there may be others that can answer. "Hi Rob: What a great program!! One question, though. On the Denon documents, it says: "Data Construction 15bits C14 0 C15 0=Not Inverted, 1=Inverted" That's the only information I can glean that informs as to what the "Data Construction" number to enter. I'm assuming that since it says "15 bits" I enter 00, but I wanted to be sure." Nick  Rob100 02-17-09, 12:20 PM I sent you the following PM, but I'll post it as well, since there may be others that can answer. Nick  Hi Nick, It's saying that the data construction uses 15 bits, that's C1 to C5, C6 to C11, C12 to C13 and finally C14 to C15. C14 and 15 are both always 0 hence why I don't give the option to enter these, only the first 13 bits. Click on the "Sharp" tab in my program, then at the top of each table in the Denon docs it will say: System Address (C1~C5) and Extension Bit (C12,C13). Enter the values for these (for example 01000 11) and then enter the Data bits (C6~C11) in binary or decimal (for example 110000 is decimal 3). Hope this makes sense. Rob. In the editor's notes you provided with the download from Remote Central, it says that "you should always set C15, and C15 to '00'" First, I'm thinking there's a typo in your note (did you mean to say C15 and C14 to 00?), and it raised the issue in my mind of whether to enter '0' or '00' in the last box. They render different results. Thanks, Nick  Rob100 02-17-09, 03:25 PM The docs you refer to are not my program, they are for IR Code Generator: http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=prontong&db=other&br=utilities&dv=irprograms&md=ircodegenerator&kw=&st=&ar=&dt=&so=&pg=1&file=prontong/utilities/IRCodeGenerator.zip My program is this one: http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=pronto&db=other&br=utilities&dv=irprograms&md=denonprontohexgenerator&kw=&st=&ar=&dt=&so=&pg=1&file=utilities/DenonHexGen.zip I like to think that data entry is pretty fool proof on my program. scottns 02-28-09, 11:17 AM I've messed around with this and I can't figure it out.
