Hi. I want to be able to play and record TV on my imac and have been looing at the elgato eyetv 250 or 410. I haven't found any reviews, can anybody help? :confused:

I purchased the Pinnacle "TV for Mac HD Stick," which runs EyeTV lite 1.1 for doing video transfers off old cassettes, betamax, etc. The thing that bugged me, is they wanted another $50 (possibly more) for the version capable of doing exports. That was after you bought the initial hardware/software.

There is a way around it, as EyeTV stores all the transfers in "packet" type files that can be accessed directly and converted and saved elsewhere. I realize all this info is about a different version, but I think some of this can translate to the newer version.
