So, I noticed my TV color is different, and I think the blue color is dead, maybe the blue gun is dead as the TV doesn't seem to have any blue color.
I noticed that the led on on the front panel keep blinking 5 times, then pause, and 5 times in that sequences.
Is there a fix to this?

I was given a 36HS500 and it is doing the same. If I turn picture and brightness low it is a viewable, albeit very dark picture. Anything above mid-level creates problems.
If it's fixable, and not too much I may attempt it as I've decent tech ability. If not I'll try to give it away to someone else to mess with since I've a plasma backordered.
appreciate any help, or steering in the right direction.
You both need the service manual free here: Immediate download of KV36HS500 service manual. (http://www.schematicsforfree.com/archive/file/Sony/Video/Sony%20Kv36Hs500.pdf)The 34HS510 is similar to the 34XBR800 in it. Could be problem on CRT drive board CX, I have not fixed that one yet..

Great, thanks for that link. I addressed this before in this post (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=15093598&highlight=#post15093598) I forgot about. I checked in the self diagnostic screen and the fault only occured once. I don't know if it was before or after I got the TV. I reset it and will see what happens. when I first got the TV I didn't do much and ended up letting it sit in the corner for awhile.
I've now had an itch to mess with it more and tinkered a little with the service mode settings:
GAMM
GAMR
GAMG
GAMB
LRGB
and various geometry settings (from what I can remember) and have got a brighter picture out of it. Also with the convergence issue I mentioned in that earlier post, since hooking up my laptop via s-video and a desktop pc via dvi it seems to have mostly gone away. Twice the picture was distorted, but after a few minutes and some combination maybe of changing inputs and power resets it seemed to go away. I don't know if it needs to warm up or something gets triggered with the input changing...
Learning lots, thanks again for the help.
