Is there anyone with enough knowledge to list all of the currently available or soon to be availabe media players? Or maybe a collaborative list including advantages and disadvantages broken down to low, medium and high cost.

I have found nowhere where the various players are listed and compared. I eventually just bought one inexpensive enough to swollow the cost if I chose poorly.
