Could have sworn all the Assassin's Creed ads I saw had the Playstation sound/logo at the end instead of showing all of the multiplatform logos. My guess is that each company pays a part of the advertising costs and in return gets "featured" at the end of the commercial. Doesn't seem too strange.

Again, this is not news. PS3 costs more. It always has. It still outsells the 360 in Europe. That's why MS cut the price to 200€—desperation.

Big deal.:rolleyes: This is done all the time. Sony shelled out some money to be the exclusive endorser of "The Simspons" game (don't ask me why) and at the end of the commercial it said "On Sony" or something like that with the PS sound (even though it was a multiplatform game).

I only have one question: Did GTA4 get cancelled for PS3 after being 100% completed or was development actually never put into play at all and they were lying to us all along?

You know what actually is interesting about this commercial?

Microsoft gave Rockstar $50M in exchange for 360-exclusive DLC for GTA4. Presumably, this was to encourage people to buy the 360 version (and possibly as 360 to go along with it) instead of buying the PS3 version (and possibly a PS3 version to go along with it).

Yet here we are, less than two weeks from launch, and not only do we still have absolutely no idea what this DLC will actually be, they don't even mention it in this ad.

What's up with that? Why did MS shell out a fairly huge amount of money to secure this DLC if they're not going to leverage it at all?

Well the DLC isn't going to be available till August (or atleast that's what I've read so far) so Microsoft can't comment on it yet since they don't know what it's going to be yet. Well, I'm sure that MS must have some idea of what the DLC is going to be like, as it was probably part of the agreement. They don't want R* saying, "Thanks, for the $50M. We made an Xbox-green hoodie and matching alligator boots that 360 owners can use to dress up their avatars in multiplayer."

Also, even if this DLC isn't available until August, if MS expects it to affect people's purchasing decisions, you would think that they would want to be pimping it now, and not in August, when 80-90% of the people who like the game enough to even care about the DLC will have already made their purchase.
