sonos and roku fit that bill at different price points.... or even an apple airport express + itouch/iphone.

My immediate reaction is to ask what you are looking for.

What don't you like about the Squeezebox? Are there features you feel it does not have? Things it does have that you dislike? Are you just wanting to see what's around so as to make comparisons?

Soundbridge and Sonos are obvious alternative choices, as already suggested. And also the Squeezebox Duet. The difference in the remotes between the Squeezebox 3 and the Squeezebox Duet means that one might suit your needs much better than the other.
