My install went fine, then with the update I got an error around 90% complete. When I restarted it only took another minute and finished updating.

Well this is a very common issue.

Some people have gotten it to work by using mode 2 and disabling UPnP in their routers.

Dude, You are a clown. You have to be the most negative person in this forum. All of your posts are senseless. All you had to do was keep trying and you finally got the update to install. Did you ever stop to consider network traffic. Heck, you couldn't even process the payment transaction or even download the COD4 map packs on XBL during the first release day. Get over it.
