I didn't see it in the PSN Store but when I launched Warhawk, it told me new content was avialable.

I am not sure if you where on Warhawk since day one, but I was.....played it to death until COD4 came out and I never looked backed. I bought the OMEGA and it was cool at first but that didn't last long before I was back on COD4.

Now with GTA4 around the corner I can't see myself getting this one, will probably get it for free from my buddies though later on. I am just waiting for GTA4 online, that experience looks to be epic.

Sounds good to me. I'm going to download in a little bit. I'll fire up a server "kekborg" and password protect it avs (I'll just set up a couple of dm or somthing with the diff. versions of that map only). Any one that ones in, come on over (although this will be an exploritary mission, don't be surprised if I get trigger happy on occasion :D...got to test out the spawn points too)

^^ Got a map going now. I'm assuming it's called ThePester. I put in a rotation of all of the different variations. OR at least I think I have. Just wanted to say, first impression: Get out your snow suits! It's a BLIZZARD!! Wow, does that snow really come down!

Also, if you didn't like Warhawk before, I doubt neither of the expansions will change your mind. It's really more of the same, although, I think the APC will be more received than the drop ship.

Since I dont own another game :o, I don't mind getting squeezed for $8.

^^ No. Now I'm no Warhawk expert, but I think the armored ground carrier vehicle I've just been driving around in is new. And so is the shield thingy. Both of which are actually pretty cool. I like the motor sound for the new vehicle. It really chugs it going up hills. (Like I do.)

I still want an actual campaign (co-op if possible), so much potential there. I'd even be happy with a bunch of mini campaigns kind of like what GRAW has for playing online with friends.

i jumped in a room just to fool around (although the host of the room and his buddy just wanted to killkillkill). kekborg showed up and knifed me right away (i guess he wanted to see if teamkills were more enjoyable in the snow).

i don't really get how the force field works. once deployed the other team can't touch it, but i swear an opponent walked right in. he may have been w/in the radius of the field prior to deployment, but i didn't think so. it looks cool, and when you throw a grenade at it, it goes "bloop."

spawning in an active apc is pretty cool and should be interesting for zones and ctf. they give you one random weapon besides the pistol when you spawn in the apc, but 3 out of 5 times, it was the sniper rifle. what good is that?

So the bottom line is you can move into and out of an enemies bubble, but your weapon fire can not go through it????

Got to play the new map for about 45min after work yesterday. Played a very small CTF and a much larger CTF (still not the whole map) and I have to say I really like the new map so far. There are a lot of hiding spots in buildings. Especially on the larger CTF I played. The middle base (4) had a lot of broken down buildings that you could access and shoot out windows or missing walls. Good places to hide on ground from warhawks.

The APC is sweet because you can spawn into it. I can see domination of some games if a team learns to work together and utilize APC. You could really pin an enemy down with one or two of those around a base. You other teammates can just keep spawning right into the action. Get someone with a wrench to keep its health up and you can really inflict some pain on the other team.

This is such a good expansion. I played with it for a short time last night and really enjoyed it, definitely better than Omega Dawn, definitely worth the $7.99 (skip omega dawn, not worth it, not even in combo).

True. You can shoot from inside the bubble out but not the other way around. I like the way grenades just seem to disappear like they've been teleported when thrown at the shield. I kept entering games where they advertise just a walk thru just to get blasted in the first minute. :eek: I then set up a 2 man room with only a friends invite to have a uninterupted walk thru.

+1 on the new map kicking major ass....The dynamic weather with wind and snow is amazing as well....Really well done on the layout....It strikes the balance missing on omega factory of having plenty of hiding spots and raised roadways but not being too inaccessible or confusing.....

Beside all of the goodness aready mentioned I really liked playing CTF with the flags in new positions. Makes for quite a different experience. I feel like I already got fair value on my purchase just playing it for a few hours last night. IMHO, it's a must have for all Warhawk players. :)
