I've searched these forums and the internet, haven't found any straight answers. If I or someone else wanted to put some money into someone else's wallet, is there a way to do it online or anything? I don't think there is, but I am not able to access the actual PSN for a while so I can't look around it myself for now.

I know the Wii lets you gift VC titles and points, it'd be something if the Wii's completely lacking online component actually bested PSN at something.

If you logged into someone's account you could add money with your personal credit card. A second option would be to wait, as Sony will be releasing PSN Cards in $20 and $50 amounts very soon. These can be given as gifts.

Thanks for the info, I did know the cards are coming but I was thinking about smaller amounts (like gift a friend $10 for a map addon so I can play them with'im). I guess it's just another thing for the wishlist :p

or, just tell your friend to quit being a cheap b@$$-turd and that you'll buy the pack for him! :D:D:D (that's what friends do for each other, right?);)

I'm pretty sure you can add money to the Wallets of your sub-accounts (to give your kid an "allowance" or whatever), but I don't think there's any way to just deposit money in to a "random" person's Wallet, like you would with an iTunes Gift Certificate. (Even the iTGC doesn't go straight in to their account. They have to redeem it.)

As college students, my friends and I are constantly switching between who has money and who is broke :p It's not impossible to work around or anything, but some sort of gifting system would be nice- certainly not necessary or something I'm going to constantly be complaining about.

Unrelated question but similar.

How does one get a credit from the wallet back to your CC? I want to deactivate my account.

When I did a wallet deposit online via a PC I'm pretty sure it gave me verbiage that the wallet amount was non-refundable. i.e. there is not a way to move wallet $ back to a credit card. Whether that's an absolute or just what Sony wants you to believe, I'm not sure...

Figures, I thought I would spend my remaining $5.89 but an HD download cost $5.99 so they want to add in another $5. I might as well rent an SD movie and buy a wallpaper or something.
