Thanks for any info,Troy........ eddielives 04-18-08, 08:53 AM Yes there is. But unfortunately I cannot provide it right now. You see, my crystal ball doesn't seem to be working at the moment, so I don't know what remote you need codes for.:p post-x 04-18-08, 11:58 AM Hi! I'm configuring the remote of my onkyo 605, but in the list that came with the manual there are no codes for HTPCs... How can I find the code of the remote of my Medion 8828? Thanx!! Kupakai 04-18-08, 12:27 PM Is there a comprehinsive list of remote control codes online anywhere? Thanks for any info,Troy........ By codes do you mean setup codes that you punch in to remotes based on device manufacturers? If so, for which remote are you looking for codes? Those are different for each manufacturers of the remote control, and usually the best place for that is the remote manufacturers themselves. If you mean the ir signals that the devices accept as commands, whether in protocol, custom code and command code format, or in Pronto hex format, probably the best place again the manufacture of the component, especially for higher ends, but since you are asking about consolidated location, best place for that is probably Remote Central (http://www.remotecentral.com/files/index.html). Their file section has a good list of ir codes in both Pronto hex format and ccfs (from which you can extract Pronto hex codes). eddielives 04-18-08, 01:04 PM Hi! If I'm not mistaken, the 605 comes with a learning remote. If your HTPC has a remote, you could always teach the codes to the 605's remote. That being said, remotes that come with receivers are not always the best solution for controling other gear. In fact, they're a poor choice in most cases. You might want to look into a universal remote from URC or Harmony. They both have quite capable remotes for realitively small money, and can make your HT more enjoyable to use. You probably should have started a new thread for this, but as a quick answer, from looking up Medion 8828, it seems like the remote is RF, in which case IR remote will not work with it. jenesis121 04-21-08, 03:12 AM I programmed my Comcast 3in1 DVR remote to activate the Harman Kardon AVR 146 receiver on to the AUX BUTTON. The VCR- TV - DVD inputs are found on the number keys in AUX, but I cannot access the optical input devices on HDMI1 & HDMI2? Are there advanced codes for these inputs? |
