My circular button/pad that surrounds the 'Enter' on the BT remote makes a clicking sound like it's catching an edge. I've have it since December and it just started happening. It's not always in the same direction either. Kind of regularly irregular. Anyone else have a similer issue?
If I take it back to Best Buy will they give me a new one? I'm sure I don't have a receipt. It was on my 'Rewards' card though.

For the few weeks that I used mine, it did not do that, but they are easy to disassemble if you want to try to open it and see what it is hung up on. As for best buy exchanging it, I have no idea.

Highly doubt Best Buy would take back a 4+ month old $25 remote.... I would either learn to live with it or just buy a new one...

No. Might have a broken or sticky contact inside. Spilled anything on or near it?

Definitely no then.

Absolutely positively no then.

Had the same thought but don't recall anything. Doesn't seem like soda either. I can't decide if it's worth risking screwing it up by taking it apart.

You don't sound like much like a BB fan.

I developed one of the ps3 IR interfaces and to do that, I took the remote apart. It is really not difficult. Put a towel or something on the kitchen table because the little round thing with the select in the middle will fall out. Open the battery door, there is a little screw at the bottom. Take that out. Then just slip something thin into the space between the upper and lower halves and move it to disconnect the plastic tabs. (think ipod, if you have seen or taken one of those apart -- lots of instructions on the internet for that). Then it is fairly self explanatory. You will see how the circuit board fits, and the membrane and keys will be above that (by above, closer to the top panel of the remote).
