My problem is, I have an old plv70 projector that is not htcp. The only way to view high def is thru the component cable.

Any help will be much appreiciated

Vudu only does up to 480p on component output. Here is the detailed discussion and rationale on the Vudu support forums..

I was wondering why my local high end store was giving me the run around about vuvu. I wanted to see the device in action, and they showed me just the box. Every time I call them, they would say there install team needed to run a data line. What a bunch of bull. How hard is it to run a data line.

There's a summary article about Vudu and its crisper-format 'flavor' in today's NY Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/02/technology/personaltech/02pogue.html?scp=1&sq=Vudu&st=cse). -- John

The VUDU XL, available through custom installers and certain high-end retailers, Is capable of HD video out of the component outputs along with IP control for integration into high-end control/automation systems.
