Well, after doing some homework and testing stuff I come to realize that I need a soundcard that works with Ubuntu 7.10 and that does 5.1 with analog outputs. If the card also has SPDIF out is a plus... for that time in the future when I may be able to upgrade to a different amp setup.
I'm currently using 3 amps driving each 2 channels which works great in Windows, but I moved already to Ubuntu and as this computer is also hooked to my HS51a projector... its a must that movie audio be 5.1, or 7.1.
I noticed somebody else mention HT Omega Striker, which Im looking right now, plenty of analog outputs which I like plus some other stuff I have no idea what it is, says here for $80, this would be my max.
Any other good choices that work with Linux?
