I am trying to program a comcast remote (3 device DVR remote) to work with my 42" plasma. I have 2 of the remotes and I have tried to program the device code 0250 on both. Neither one will accept the code. I get no response from the remote when doing the following.

1.) Press Device key TV
2.) Press and Hold SETUP until TV key blinks twice.
3.) Then I enter 0 2 5 0, the TV button blinks once with every key.

After this there is nothing, no 2 blinks from the TV button that it took and no long blink that its an invalid code. This is happening on both remotes. Any thoughts, am I doing something wrong?

It sounds like you may have a newer version of the remote that takes 5 digits. Does it have a red SELECT/OK button if it does, try setup code TV/10250.

I had the same problem and 10250 worked for me.

Thanks so much for this info...I was about to drop big bucks on a Harmony before I found this thread...10250 worked for me and my Comcast remote/ PZ80u 50" :)

Thanks for the tip. I have the 3-device universal comcast remote and the th-c42fd18 panasonic plasma tv. The code 10250 worked for me.

DOH, I was up until 2am last night looking for codes for new Panasonic PX80 plasmas to use with my ScumCast remote. If this works it will keep me going until I can rewire for another provider.

I bought two 720p Panasonic plasmas and the remotes are OK, but they can't control any other devices, time to find a long term solution with high WAF. One remote or two remotes? Hmm.

a year later..............

Trying to program Comcast remote to G15.

Remote has grey select button, seems to only want a 4 digit code, and none I have tried (0051,0055,0250) have worked.

Any ideas?

Not sure if I was just inept the first 42 times I tried to enter code -

but on the 43rd it took 0250!!
