Hi all,

I'm planning my system rebuilds for the next few weeks. Unfortunately, I have a windows server requirement that's throwing a wrench in my plans. I'm going to use my old Nforce4 mobo for my server. I'm run Mediaportal as my choice for HTPC software, and unfortunately there is no native linux TVServer port. Therefore I must run Windows for TVserver on my server. Windows on VMWare won't work due to access to my TV cards. I read that Xen can hide PCI devices to the host OS, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried this? I'd really prefer to run Linux natively on my server, but the TVserver requirement is preventing me from doing this unless Xen would work. And no MythTV is not an option due to preference.

Thanks

Found more info, in order to hide PCI devices to a Windows guest, your motherboard needs to support Intel VT-d I/O virtualization. The only board I can find that's cheap is the Asus P5E-VM Do, where the manual specifically states that it has a toggle for VT-d in the bios. I'm contemplating moving my server build to this mobo to try Xen.
