I'm cautiously considering replacing my Pioneer PDP43MXE1 (with x4 HDMI input card added later, 768p).
I like the reviews of the Samsung LN-T4681F except that at it only drives it's screen at 60Hz.
Being UK based much of my sources are 50Hz and I've a hankering for a screen with 24Hz (output) for my BDs.
Is there anything else in the league of this screen (read as black) that has this?
well fair enough, the 8 series is very new so asking for something better was going to get this off the first page darn quick!
perhaps a better question is...
what are the down sides to a 60Hz screen being fed UK 50Hz material and 24p BDs?

The obvious one is that not all screens will even accept 50Hz.
the manual says this one will, but I guess it (and others that do) then suffer because of the conversion?
Also it would appear than LN are for America and LE for Europe is that right? Then I'll probably struggle to get one here...

The conversion is at least bearable, but I wasn't aware the 81F accepted 50Hz. Have you got a link to your source?

Importing is expensive, but still usually less than the European price premium.
The equivalent model in the UK is the LE-xxF96.
